There are miles and miles of machine groomed and ungroomed SNOWMOBILE TRAILS throughout the local area, including our own Weston County Mallo Camp and the Black Hills National Forest. A SNOWMOBILER'S DREAM.
The area 15 miles North of Newcastle extending into the Black Hills National Forest is an excellent location for this great winter sport. Natural forests and open country abound.
Terry Peak Ski Area - 1052 foot vertical drop; 20 miles of trails; six chair lifts.
Deer Mountain Ski Area - 850 foot vertical drop; one chair lift; two Poma lifts; 25 trails; plus a snowboard park.
